Chocolate love, and strangely, bread

One thing I've enjoyed about both vegetarianism and especially veganism, is that I have been forced out of my eating comfort zones and have found some amazing new foods to try. It's opened up a world of new experiences for me, as its necessitated finding new ways of eating and cooking.
  • A work colleague has got me hooked on some seriously delicious vegan chocolate. Carmel Valley Chocolates are handmade in the Perth hills, are 37% organic and all natural ingredients. I've only tasted the mint so far, and it's been my favourite vegan chocolate. I now have 11 more varieties in my possession to try, including lime & coconunt, pistachio & mandarin, apricot, sultana, brazil nut and goji among others. One flavour I know they make, and I don't have but desperately want to try is Banana!
  • I'm not sold on the taste of carob yet though.
  • Last time I tried raw chocolate, it was disgusting to thees point that it became a food used to punish people with, so it's no surprise that I viewed the Loving Earth raw chocolates with some trepidation. It was unwarranted though, the goji berry and camu camu is rich and delicious. I also have activated almond and purple corn, and crunchy mint dark chocolate to try! I had to google camu camu and purple corn to find out what they were though. This company ticks so many of my ethical boxes as it is raw, fair trade, delicious and I love the simple cardboard packaging.
  • Bread came under the glare of the magnifying glass today, and I purchased some of Bodhi's Bakehouse bread. Made in Perth, this company appears to have a strong focus on health and quality. It was tasty bread, and filled me up nicely - it's my new bread of choice.
